TACA Awaits Expansion of Salvadoran Airport

27 Sep 2012

Without ruling out the idea of building their own airport terminal, the airline will wait to see how the modernization works initiated by the Executive Port Commission (CEPA) evolve.
Fidel Chavez Mena, vice president and legal representative of TACA, said that after meetings with representatives from CEPA, they have agreed to wait and see how the financing of the works evolves.

"The project for building our own terminal, is dormant, awaiting the remodeling process, we will see how the financing process for remodelling goes, but I want to say that we at AviancaTaca are working on very good terms with the authorities of CEPA", added Chavez Mena.

For his part, President of ECA, Alberto Arene, announced "that the securitization process, whose law decree has not yet been signed by the President, is progressing, and that within two months the offer will be received for the securitization deals to issue titles and get the resources to start the repairs and modernization of the airport", adds the article Elsalvador.com.
