According to the Ministry of Economy there are already ten public entities and one company interested in providing the service, which could be available in the first months of 2018.
Although it remains to be decided which company or public institutions will provide the service, the Ministry of Economy explained that the system could be ready to be used later this year or early next year.

Vice Minister of Economy Luz Estrella Rodríguez said that "... They have already called on interested parties to provide the electronic signature service so that they can begin to prepare themselves with the legal aspects and technological infrastructure to accredit themselves as suppliers."

"... 'At this moment, 10 public institutions have shown interest, including the Ministry of Finance, the Central Reserve Bank, the National Registration Center, the Post Office of El Salvador, the Ministry of Health and also an international company specializing in the subject'."
