El Salvador Opens Commercial and Tourist Office in Panama

The aim is to strengthen trade relations and generate new business opportunities between the two countries.

From a statement issued by the Tourism Authority of Panama:

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Integration and Economic Development of the Republic of El Salvador, Carlos Castaneda, today inaugurated, together with the General Manager of the Tourism Authority of Panama, Gustavo Him, an office for Economic, Trade and Tourism matters in the Republic of Panama.

The opening of this office has both a commercial and diplomatic character, and aims to bring trade relations significantly closer and open up opportunities between El Salvador and Panama. The commercial diplomatic office also seeks to attract potential investors who wish to take advantage of the strategic advantages that El Salvador has such as: competitive labor costs, monetary stability, competitive infrastructure, tax incentives and preferential access to international markets.
